One generally thinks of a pedestrian as a person travelling on foot. A broader look at pedestrians today could include those on tiny wheeled devices such as roller blades, skateboards, scooters, and wheelchairs. Bicycles, whether motorized or not, are considered vehicles according to Ohio law. Today in Akron, Ohio, as well as in other cities and suburbs, we find many people on the roads through these various modes.
Over the years Ohio has made an effort to be more pedestrian friendly by adding:
